Position Summary:
As a Helper in our cloud kitchen, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations and ensuring efficient food preparation and delivery. Your responsibilities will involve assisting the kitchen team, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and contributing to the overall success of our cloud kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Food Preparation Assistance:
Assist the cooks and chefs in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling food items.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
Operate kitchen equipment, such as mixers, blenders, and food processors, ensuring proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance.
Stock Management:
Assist in receiving, checking, and organizing ingredient deliveries.
Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when inventory needs replenishment.
Dishwashing and Cleaning:
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the dishwashing and food preparation areas.
Food Packaging and Labeling:
Assist in packaging food items accurately and ensuring proper labeling with relevant information, such as expiry dates and allergen warnings.
Waste Management:
Properly dispose of waste, separate recyclables, and maintain cleanliness in waste disposal areas.
Inventory Control:
Assist in regular stock counts and inventory management to ensure accurate tracking and minimize wastage.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including personal hygiene, safe food handling, and proper use of protective equipment.
Order Assembly and Delivery Support:
Assist in assembling customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Provide support for delivery preparation, including packaging, organizing, and coordinating with delivery partners.
Cleanliness and Sanitation:
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the cloud kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and surfaces.
Follow cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform tasks that may involve lifting or carrying heavy items.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the kitchen's operational needs.
