We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Assistant Continental Chef Commis 2 to join our renowned gourmet burger chain of restaurants. As an Assistant Continental Chef Commis 2, you will work closely with our culinary team to ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Continental Chef in food preparation, cooking, and plating according to standardized recipes and guidelines.
Execute assigned tasks efficiently and effectively, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels, monitoring freshness of ingredients, and proper storage.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new and innovative menu items.
Support in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following sanitation and hygiene standards.
Follow instructions and guidelines provided by the Continental Chef and work collaboratively with other team members.
Assist in the training and development of new kitchen staff members.
Uphold a positive and professional attitude, demonstrating a passion for culinary excellence.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment as a Commis or similar role.
Basic knowledge of continental cuisine and a strong interest in gourmet burgers.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils, and the ability to handle them safely.
Good understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
