Job Title: All-Rounder Chef Location:Pattamundai,Kendrapara(Odisha) Salary-Negotiable You can call me on 9971586267 mail me at [email protected] Job Summary: The All-Rounder Chef is responsible for preparing a wide variety of dishes across different kitchen sections, including Indian, Chinese, Tandoor, Continental, Fast Food, Snacks, Breakfast, and basic Bakery/Desserts (as applicable). The chef ensures high-quality food preparation, maintains hygiene standards, and supports smooth kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and customer requirements. • Handle multiple kitchen sections, including: o Indian Cuisine o Chinese Cuisine o Tandoor o Continental o Fast Food o Snacks & Street Food o Breakfast Items o Basic Bakery and Desserts (if required) • Ensure food is prepared with consistent taste, quality, and presentation. • Prepare ingredients, sauces, gravies, marinades, and mise en place before service. • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times. • Follow food safety, sanitation, and company SOPs. • Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimize wastage. • Check inventory and inform management about stock shortages. • Store food items properly and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices. • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance issues. • Assist in menu planning and new recipe development. • Train and supervise kitchen assistants, helpers, and commis chefs. • Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager and service staff to ensure timely food delivery. • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Required Skills • Strong knowledge of multiple cuisines and cooking techniques. • Ability to work independently and manage different kitchen stations. • Excellent time management and multitasking skills. • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. • Good communication and teamwork. • Ability to perform well under pressure during busy service hours. • Creativity in food preparation and presentation. Qualifications • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred. • 3–7 years of experience as a chef in restaurants, hotels, cafés, or catering services. • Experience handling multiple cuisines is highly desirable. Working Conditions • Long periods of standing and working in a hot kitchen environment. • Flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and festivals. • Ability to lift and handle kitchen equipment and food supplies.
