Job Description:

Menu Planning & Cooking:
Plan and prepare daily meals, with a primary focus on Maharashtrian and North Indian dishes.
Create authentic Maharashtrian Thali, including items like Pithla Bhakri, Zunka Bhakri, Vangyache Bharit, and various curries (Aamti, Katachi Amti).
Prepare a range of North Indian dishes, including a variety of curries (Paneer, Dal Makhani, Chana Masala), tandoori items, and bread (roti, paratha, naan).
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation.
Kitchen Management & Team Leadership:
Oversee all kitchen operations, including daily food preparation and cleaning.
Lead and manage a small team of kitchen helpers.
Assign tasks to the team, such as vegetable cutting and other preparatory work, ensuring efficiency and timely meal service.
Train and mentor team members to improve their skills and maintain kitchen standards.
Inventory & Hygiene:
Manage and maintain kitchen inventory, including daily checks of food supplies and ingredients.
Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards.
Ensure the kitchen and all equipment are clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a chef, with a focus on Maharashtrian and North Indian cuisines.
Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from both cuisines.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing a kitchen team.
Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards of quality.
Formal culinary training or certification is a plus, but not required with relevant experience.
