We're looking for a passionate and skilled Maharashtrian Cook to join our culinary team. If you have a deep understanding of authentic Maharashtrian cuisine and a flair for creating delicious, traditional dishes, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Prepare and Cook Traditional Maharashtrian Dishes: Expertly prepare a wide range of Maharashtrian curries, sabzis, dals, rice preparations, snacks, and sweets.
Menu Development & Execution: Collaborate with the kitchen management to plan and execute daily/weekly menus, ensuring variety and authenticity.
Ingredient Sourcing & Quality Control: Select fresh, high-quality ingredients and ensure they are stored and handled properly.
Maintain Kitchen Standards: Uphold strict standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the kitchen at all times.
Recipe Adherence & Innovation: Follow established recipes while also being able to innovate and create new dishes that align with Maharashtrian culinary traditions.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other kitchen staff and support the overall kitchen operations.
Portion Control & Cost Management: Ensure consistent portion sizes and contribute to minimizing food waste.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a cook specializing in Maharashtrian cuisine.
In-depth knowledge of regional Maharashtrian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, from traditional to modern.
Ability to read and understand recipes.
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for food and a commitment to culinary excellence.
