**Position:** Sous Chef
**Location:** Villa Altona, Porvorim, Goa
**Employment Type:** Full-time
**Reports To:** Head Chef/ Owner/ Partner
### About the Role
Support our Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences at Villa Altona. The Sous Chef will assist in kitchen operations, staff supervision, and maintain our high culinary standards.
### Key Responsibilities
- Assist Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu execution
- Supervise commis chefs and kitchen helpers
- Prepare mise en place and coordinate food preparation
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
- Cover Head Chef responsibilities during absences
- Assist in inventory management and procurement
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards
- Train junior kitchen staff
- Support special event catering and preparations
### Required Qualifications
- Culinary diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in professional kitchens
- Knowledge of Indian, Continental cuisine preparation
- Team leadership and training abilities
- Understanding of food safety standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts
