Job Description:

Culinary Leadership: Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure dishes meet quality and presentation standards. Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create and update menus that align with seasonal availability, guest preferences, and the restaurant's concept. Food Preparation: Supervise and participate in the preparation of ingredients and dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and food safety standards. Team Management: Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring they understand their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations. Kitchen Organization: Maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen workflow, coordinating cooking stations, and managing the allocation of tasks to kitchen staff. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes, and address any discrepancies promptly. Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and controlling food inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize cost-efficiency. Safety and Sanitation: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as front-of-house staff, to ensure smooth service and effective communication. Special Events: Help plan and execute special culinary events, promotions, or themed nights, providing innovative ideas and contributing to their success. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any kitchen-related issues or challenges that may arise during service promptly and professionally. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, culinary techniques, and innovations, and share knowledge with the kitchen team to enhance overall performance.
