DaWholesum – Healthy Food Resto-Cafe is looking for a Continental chef to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey. The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of a wide range of healthy dishes.
Job Duties:
•Plan and oversee the preparation of all menu items, including appetisers, entrees, and desserts
•Develop and create new dishes that appeal to the restaurant's target audience while maintaining the quality and standard of existing dishes
•Ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to recipe and established standards for taste, texture, and appearance
•Ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating, and optimum food costs on an ongoing basis.
•Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure that all kitchen operations run smoothly
•Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels
•Have excellent knowledge of menu creation, whilst maintaining quality and controlling costs in a volume food business.
•Guides and trains the subordinates daily to ensure high motivation and an economical working environment.
•Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines and the ability to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
