Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant cum Store Keeper to manage the financial records and inventory control of our central kitchen. This role requires handling both accounting tasks, such as preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate records, and overseeing the storage and distribution of goods in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be efficient in balancing both financial and inventory responsibilities to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly financial records for the central kitchen.
Process invoices, receipts, payments, and purchase orders.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitor expenses.
Ensure timely preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Manage payroll processing for kitchen staff and other financial transactions.
Store Keeping Responsibilities:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and materials.
Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock levels and timely reordering.
Conduct regular stock takes and inventory audits.
Ensure proper storage conditions for food and non-food items, maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
Monitor the usage of kitchen supplies and track waste, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Collaborate with the kitchen manager to ensure inventory meets operational needs without overstocking.
Prepare reports on inventory levels, damaged goods, and procurement needs.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience (2+ years) as an accountant or storekeeper, preferably in a food service or kitchen environment.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and inventory management.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with [working hours].
Some flexibility required based on operational needs.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
